What does ISO 12312-2:2015 actually guarantee?+
That the filter is made for looking at the sun: it passes only a tiny fraction of visible, UV and IR light. Sunglasses do not pass that test.
What if I stack two pairs of sunglasses?+
Still fashion glass, not an eclipse filter. X-ray film, smoked glass and a phone camera held to the naked eye fail the same way.
When is totality here?+
